Attualmente l'attenzione di residenti e investitori e' puntata su un progetto che e' destinato a cambiare non solo il volto della citta', ma anche a rivoluzionarla dal punto di vista turistico ed economico; sto parlando del RWM ovvero del Resort World Miami.
Miami is always a turnmoil city and always under development.
Nowadays the attention of residents and investors is focused on a project bounded to change not only the aspect of the city but also to transform the city as tourism and economics. I am talking about the RWM that is Resort World Miami.
Il Gruppo sud est asiatico Genting (http://www.genting.com/) che ha acquistato recentemente l'attuale palazzo sede del Miami Herald nella zona di Downtown/Bayfront, investendo oltre $3 billion, ha presentato nei giorni scorsi il suo progetto architettonico del nuovo resort.
The south eastern asiatic Genting Group (http://www.genting.com/), who has recently acquired the building hosting the Miami Herald in Downtown/Bayfront by investing over $3billion, unveiled the new resort project few days ago.
Il Resort World Miami si comporra' di quattro hotels (un luxury hotel, un family hotel, un convention hotel ed un contemporary hotel), due torri residenziali, un casino', un convention centre, uno shopping luxury mall, 50 ristoranti, lounges e clubs. Il resort poi avra' una "laguna" che sara' pari a 12 piscine olimpioniche e avra' un'estensione tale che permettera' agli ospiti di nuotare dalla Biscayne blvd alla suggestiva zona sul bayfront....
The Resort World Miami will be composed by four hotels (a luxury hotel, a family hotel, a convention hotel and a contemporary hotel), two residential towers, a casino, a convention centre, a shopping luxury galleria, 50 restaurants, lounges and clubs. The resort will include among its facilities also a "lagoon" equal to 12 olympionic pools allowing guests to swim from the side overlooking Biscayne blvd to the side on the bayfront.
Lo studio Arquitectonica che ha ideato il progetto ha rivelato che l'ispirazione di questo imponente progetto risiede proprio nella bellezza e nella natura di Miami e delle sue spiaggie.
Arquitectonica who designed the project has underlined that the whole inspiring concept is the natural beauty of Miami with its beaches and nature.
Non poche le polemiche suscitate.
La citta' si divide fra chi considera questo progetto una grande opportunita' di sviluppo e di crescita per l'intera citta' e chi invece ne e' spaventato per l'eccessivo impatto. E' stato stimato che questa operazione creera' oltre 30.000 nuovi posti di lavoro, un incremento del turismo con nuovi scali diretti dal sud est asiatico....
Ovviamente pero' in molti temono che questo incredibile resort tolga attrativa alle altre strutture della citta' come ad es. allo stesso Convention Centre di Miami Beach, o che il traffico urbano che generera' possa creare disagi alle arterie esistenti.

The city is divided between those who support this project considering it a great opportunity not to be missed and those scared by its massive impact.
It has been estimated that this operation will create over 30,000 new stable jobs, an increase of tourism supported by new direct flights from Asia...
At the same time of course there are also numerous peoples concerned about this enormous project changing the whole face and landscape of Miami. Those persons evaluate this project as a potential competitor for the ongoing life of historic structures such as the Miami Beach Convention Centre for example and also are concerned about the potential congestion of trafic that this structure might create bringing the whole surrounding areas to collapse of transportation...
Si legge nei vari quotidiani che il Gruppo ha ovviamente interesse a contruibuire allo sviluppo della citta' e che si prefigge di collaborare/supportare le strutture esistenti come il Miami Beach Convention Centre o l' Arsht Centre, cosi come spiegano che comunque, anche facendo riferimento a pregresse esperienze in altre zone dove sono sorti loro ResortsWorld , nonostante i loro hotels saranno moltissimi i turisti che comunque continueranno a privilegiare le altre strutture alberghiere esistenti....
Many magazines and newspapers reported that Genting has envisioned this project not to compete with existing structures but to complement with as for example the Miami Beach Convention Center or the Arsht Centre; moreover Genting assures that based on their previous experience in other touristic locations all existing hotels will experience an increase in occupancy instead of a feared decrease due to the fact that not everybody will be able or willing to stay at RWM.
Jessica Hoppe, VP of Governmental Affairs e General Counsel di Genting America, durante la riunione mensile della Miami Beach Tax Payers Association presso lo Shelborne Hotel lo scorso 5 ottobre ha spiegato che il progetto sara' realizzato entro il prossimo 2014 se sara' autorizzato il casino', qualora invece la legge non venga modificata allora si prevede che la struttura subira' una battuta di arresto e non la vedremo realizzata e completata che nei prossimi 20 anni.
Jessica Hoppe, VP of Governmental Affairs and General Counsel of Genting America, during the monthly meeting of the Miami Beach Taxpayers Association at the Shelborne Hotel last October 5th, has explained that if the Casino will be allowed by the change of Florida Law the project will be completed by 2014,; if the casino will not be allowe it will take upt to 20 years to see this project finished.
